Vicarious menstruation refers to cyclic bleeding coming out of the uterine cavity during menstruation. At that time the blood is in the eyes of woman. The effect of this incident has been described in the medical concept of bladder, kidney, lungs, umbilicus, nasal mucosa, lacrimal system, skin and retina.

According to a medical report, a woman in Chandigarh was admitted to the emergency Hospital because she had blood coming from her eyes. She told the doctor that she is not getting any pain nor any other kind of problem but she faces this broblem every month.
