Which Animal Can't Walk Backwards?

Kangaroos,🦘 emus are from Australia. They are flightless birds similar in looks and characteristics to ostriches, though they average about 10 inches shorter in height. Unlike ostriches, emus cannot walk backward however, it's not known why.

Why Kangaroos Can't Walk Backwards?

Kangaroos can't walk backward. An unusual feature of the kangaroo is that it cannot walk backward. This is because of its unusually shaped hind legs and bulky tail which can grow up to four feet long.

It's just that they don't walk backward very often so apparently it's become a commonly held belief that they can't walk backward because of that. So there you have it: emus and kangaroos can move backward, forwards, sideways, and apparently also hold up shields.

What Is Emu?

Be warned that the emu is armed and dangerous. OK, actually, it's footed and dangerous. If you spot the emu, please do not try to approach it as it uses its feet to defend itself. The feet have toenails that are like a knife and combined with their powerful legs, can cause severe injury.
